Building Faith in God Through Worship: Ways to Worship God Daily
Life gets messy. Some days are filled with stress, disappointments, or distractions that pull our attention in a hundred directions. But worship has a way of resetting our focus. When we lift our hearts to God in praise—whether through song, prayer, or simply being mindful of His goodness—faith grows stronger and joy returns.
This post is part of my Building Faith in God series. In the introductory post, I shared 8 ways to grow your faith. We’ve already talked about finding daily encouragement in Scripture through a Faith Board and hearing God’s whisper in silence and solitude. Today, we’re exploring how worship helps us build faith in God one song, one prayer, and one moment at a time.
A Special Worship Experience 🌄
In 2023, I was blessed to attend Air1 Worship Night at Red Rocks in Colorado. If you’ve ever been there, you know how breathtaking that venue is. Worshipping God surrounded by the beauty of His creation, with thousands of believers raising their voices together—it was unforgettable.
What made it even more special was sharing the evening with my prayer warrior friend, Donica (aka my Soul Sister). We got to sing along with Phil Wickham (my personal favorite), Brandon Lake, and Jon Reddick. Each song was like a reminder of God’s faithfulness, sung under the stars.
Donica and I still text each other often with worship songs we know will encourage the other. That night at Red Rocks wasn’t just a memory—it was a milestone in my journey of faith, and it continues to echo through the everyday rhythms of my life.
Everyday Worship Practices 🌿
While big events like Red Rocks are amazing, worship doesn’t only happen in special places. It happens in the quiet, ordinary moments too.
Here are a few ways I weave worship into my daily life:
-
Listening to Christian music throughout my day. Music has a way of lifting my heart when life feels heavy.
-
Encouraging Christian wallpapers on my phone. These little reminders help me keep my thoughts fixed on truth. You can find our full collection here.
-
Daily affirmations from our Christian Affirmation Book. I keep it to the right of my Mac monitor and start each day by reading the affirmation and Scripture for the day. It’s a small ritual that makes a big difference. (Insert photo of your setup with the book)
-
Walking by Faith…Tripping Constantly Spotify playlist. I’ve created this playlist as a collection of songs that encourage me most—many of the same artists I got to hear live at Red Rocks. You can listen along HERE.
Worship doesn’t have to be elaborate. It can be as simple as a song in your kitchen, a verse on your lock screen, or a whispered prayer of thanks.
Why Worship Builds Faith
When I think about worship, I’m reminded of what Louie Giglio once said:
That response does something in us:
-
It reorients our hearts. Worship shifts our gaze from our problems back to God’s greatness.
-
It fills our minds with truth. Songs, Scripture, and affirmations remind us who He is and what He’s promised.
-
It strengthens community. Whether in a worship night at Red Rocks or in a simple text to a friend, worship binds us together.
Worship isn’t about performance—it’s about presence. God’s presence with us, and our choice to be present with Him.
Encouragement for You ✨
How could you bring more worship into your daily routine? Maybe it’s creating your own playlist, putting a verse on your fridge, or beginning your day with a worship song instead of the news.
The form doesn’t matter nearly as much as the focus. Worship turns our eyes toward Jesus, and when He is our focus, faith has room to grow.
If you need a place to start, you can explore our Christian wallpapers or Christian Affirmation Book, and follow my Walking by Faith…Tripping Constantly Spotify playlist for daily encouragement.
Closing Thoughts 🩵
From the mountaintop moments at Red Rocks to the quiet moments at my desk, worship has taught me that faith grows best when God is at the center of my attention.
I pray you’ll find your own rhythms of worship—small or big, simple or profound—that remind you daily of God’s goodness. And may your faith in God grow stronger each day as you lift your heart to Him in worship.
