Free Bible Affirmation Cards for Kids: How to Print and Use God’s Truth About Me

Sometimes we download a free printable with the best intentions.

We save it. We mean to print it. We think, “This would be so sweet to do with the kids.”

And then life happens.

So I wanted to make this God’s Truth About Me printable as simple and useful as possible. You can use it as a mini booklet, affirmation cards, or coloring pages. No complicated supplies. No perfect craft setup. Just a simple way to remind children what God says is true about them.

These Bible affirmations for kids are based on Scripture and written in words children can understand. My hope is that they help children hear truth often enough that it begins to settle deeply in their hearts.

Option 1: How to Print the Mini Booklet

The mini booklet is a sweet little way to keep these Bible affirmations together. It works well for bedtime reading, morning time, Sunday school, or tucking into a Bible bag.

For the mini booklet, use the Mini Booklet pdf. The page numbers are included to help you put the pages in the correct order after printing and cutting.

The pages may look a little out of order at first, but that is intentional. They are arranged so the booklet will come together correctly after it is printed double-sided, cut, folded, and stapled.

Mini Booklet Supplies

You will need:

Mini Booklet Printing Instructions

  1. Print the numbered PDF double-sided on regular copy paper.
  2. Use the “actual size” or “100%” setting if your printer gives that option.
  3. Cut each printed sheet in half at 5.5 inches.
  4. Use the small page numbers to put the booklet pages in order.
  5. Fold the pages in half to create the mini booklet.
  6. Open the booklet to the middle pages, pages 8 and 9.
  7. Staple the booklet together in a couple of spots along the center fold.

You do not need a special long-arm stapler for this small booklet. A standard sized stapler should work. Just open the booklet to the center and place a couple of staples along the fold to hold the pages together.

Option 2: How to Print the Affirmation Cards

The affirmation cards are the easiest option if you want something quick and flexible.

These positive Bible affirmation cards can be used in lots of everyday ways. Place one on a mirror. Tuck one into a lunchbox. Keep a few in the car. Use one as a prayer prompt at bedtime.

For affirmation cards, print the pages single-sided.

Affirmation Card Supplies

You will need:

Cardstock will make the cards sturdier, but regular copy paper works too.

Affirmation Card Printing Instructions

  1. Print the affirmation card pages single-sided.
  2. Cut each page in half at 4.25 inches.
  3. Cut each page in half again at 5.5 inches.
  4. You will end up with four affirmation cards per page.

Option 3: Use Them as Coloring Pages

You can also use these as affirmation coloring pages.

This is a simple option for younger children, Sunday school classes, homeschool activities, or quiet time at home. Print one page at a time, let the child color the picture, and then read the affirmation and Bible verse together.

You might ask:

  • What do you think this truth means?
  • When do you need to remember that God loves you?
  • How can you show kindness today?
  • What does it mean to be brave with God’s help?

The coloring page does not need to become a big lesson. Sometimes a short conversation while coloring is enough.

Simple Ways to Use Bible Affirmation Cards with Kids

These affirmations for kids can become part of ordinary moments. You do not have to create a new routine or make it complicated.

Here are a few easy ideas.

1. Read One at Breakfast

Choose one affirmation card in the morning and read it out loud before the day begins.

You might say:

“Today let’s remember that you are deeply loved by God.”

Then read the verse together and say a short prayer.

2. Tuck One into a Lunchbox

Affirmation cards make simple lunchbox notes. Even if your child is too young to read the whole card, they may still recognize the picture and remember the truth you read together.

A card that says “I am brave because God is always with me” could be especially meaningful on a school day, test day, or first day of something new.

3. Place One on the Bathroom Mirror

Tape one card to the bathroom mirror, bedroom door, or refrigerator.

Seeing the same truth again and again can help children remember it.

Words of affirmation for kids are powerful when they are repeated with love.

4. Use One at Bedtime

Choose one card before bed and read the affirmation and Scripture together.

This can be a gentle way to end the day with God’s truth instead of worries, fears, or mistakes.

You could pray something simple like:

“God, thank You that I am loved by You. Help me remember that your love never fails. Amen.”

5. Use Them for Sunday School or Bible Activity Sheets

These printables can also be used for Sunday school activities, children’s church, Bible study groups, or Christian classroom activities.

You could give each child one card to color, read, or take home. You could also use one affirmation as the theme for a short lesson.

For example:

  • “I am valuable because I have been made in God’s image.”
  • “I am helpful and serve others with love.”
  • “I am compassionate and kind toward others.”

Each one gives you a simple starting point for talking about who God says we are and how we can live in response to His love.

6. Keep a Few in the Car

The car can be a surprisingly good place for meaningful conversation.

Keep a few affirmation cards in the glove box or seat pocket. Read one while waiting in the school pickup line, driving to practice, or heading to church.

7. Let Your Child Choose the Truth They Need

Spread out several cards and ask your child:

“Which one do you need to remember today?”

Their answer may give you a sweet window into what they are feeling.

Maybe they need to remember they are brave. Maybe they need to remember they are loved. Maybe they need to remember they are capable because God is working through them.

8. Share Them with Grandchildren

As a grandmother (aka Mimi), this is one of my favorite ideas.

Print the mini booklet or a set of affirmation cards and keep them at your house. Read one when your grandchildren visit. Send one home in a little envelope. Mail one as a note of encouragement.

It is a simple way to speak God’s truth over the children you love.

Why Bible Affirmations Matter for Children

Children hear a lot of messages about who they are.

Some are spoken out loud. Some are picked up quietly. Some come from school, friends, screens, comparison, mistakes, or fear.

That is why I believe it matters to gently and consistently remind children what God says is true.

Not empty praise.

Not “you are perfect” or “you can do everything by yourself.”

But truth rooted in Scripture:

You are loved.

You are valuable.

You are created by God.

You are not alone.

You can be brave because God is with you.

You can be kind, honest, generous, and helpful because God is working in you.

These positive Bible affirmations are not meant to replace Scripture. They are meant to help children understand and remember Scripture in words that feel close and personal.

A Simple Way to Begin

You do not have to use every page at once.

Print one card.

Color one page.

Read one truth before bed.

Tape one affirmation to the mirror.

The goal is not a perfect activity. The goal is to help the children we love hear and remember what God says is true.

And sometimes one small reminder, repeated with love, can become a truth they carry for a very long time.
