✝︎ Some truth about GOD ✝︎
GOD IS PATIENT. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
GOD IS FAITHFUL. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. – Deuteronomy 7:9
GOD IS GOOD. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. – Matthew 5:45
GOD COMFORTS. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
GOD IS GENEROUS. If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? – Romans 8:31-32
GOD SAVES. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. – 1 Timothy 1:15-16
GOD IS GREATER. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. – Acts 17:24-25
GOD LOVES. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. – 1 John 3:1
GOD IS GRACEFUL. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16
GOD FORGIVES. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9
✝︎ Some truth about YOU ✝︎
YOU ARE LOVED. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39
YOU ARE UNIQUE. For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. – Psalm 139:13-14
YOU ARE FREE. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. – Romans 8:1-2
YOU ARE BLESSED. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. – 2 Corinthians 9:6
YOU ARE FORGIVEN. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. - Colossians 1:13-14
YOU ARE ALIVE. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. – Ephesians 2:4-5
YOU ARE SPOKEN FOR. Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. – Isaiah 43:1
YOU ARE REDEEMED. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. – Ephesians 1:7
YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS. But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith. – Philippians 3:7-9
YOU ARE TREASURED. For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. – Deuteronomy 7:6
✝︎ Some truth about FAITH ✝︎
For we walk by faith, not by sight. - 2 Corinthians 5:7
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. - Hebrews 4:14
He said to them, “...For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” - Matthew 17:20
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. - Hebrews 11:1
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. - Romans 5:1-2
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. - Hebrews 11:6
For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. - Galatians 5:5-6
Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. - 1 Peter 1:8-9
“…but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. - Hebrews 10:38-39
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” - Mark 9:24
✝︎ Some truth about HOPE ✝︎
We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain. - Hebrews 6:19
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. - Lamentations 3:21-23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. - Hebrews 10:23
Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us, even as we hope in you. - Psalm 33:20-22
But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all day long, for their number is past my knowledge. - Psalm 71:14-15
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. - Romans 15:13
For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. - Romans 8:24-25
For God along, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - Psalm 62:5-6
✝︎ Some truth about LOVE ✝︎
You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed; you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode. - Exodus 15:13
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. - John 3:16-17
For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Isaiah 54:10
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. - Zephaniah 3:17
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. - I Corinthians 13:13
…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. - Ephesians 3:17-19
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” - Matthew 22:37-40
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. - John 13:34-35
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. - 1 John 4:7
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. - 1 John 4:9-10
For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. - Psalm 26:3
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
✝︎ Some truth about GOD'S PROMISES ✝︎
GOD CAN ALWAYS BE FOUND. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:12-13
GOD’S WORD PROTECTS YOU. If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction. I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life. - Psalm 119:92-93
GOD HEARS YOUR PRAYERS. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. - 1 John 5:14
GOD PROVIDES WHAT YOU NEED. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and excellence. - 2 Peter 1:3
GOD LOVES AND SAVES YOU. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior. - Titus 3:4-6
GOD KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. - Psalm 32:8
GOD WILL HELP YOU. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. - Psalm 121:1-2
ONLY GOD CAN TRULY SATISFY. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. - Psalm 103:2-5
GOD IS IN CONTROL. Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness and the light dwells with him. - Daniel 2:20-22
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD. Ah, LORD God! It is you who made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. - Jeremiah 32:17
✝︎ Some truth to PRAY ✝︎
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
Our Father who art in Heaven hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is an injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light: And where there is sadness, joy. O, Divine Master, grant that I may Not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand; To be loved, as to love; For it is in giving that we receive. And it’s in pardoning that we are pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. - St. Francis of Assisi
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear
that hears me. Amen. -St. Patrick
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time. Enjoying one moment at a time. Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
